Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 9, 2026
Canal Chaos is an endless-runner boat game developed by a solo independent developer ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the game collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Questions? Email [email protected].
Information We Collect
Leaderboard data. If you submit a score to the global leaderboard, we collect the player name you choose and the country you select, along with your score. This information is stored on our leaderboard server and is visible to other players in-game. Your player name does not need to be your real name, and we encourage you not to use it.
We do not require an account, and we do not collect your email address, contacts, precise location, or photos.
Advertising
The game shows advertisements served by a third-party advertising SDK. The ad provider may collect device information — such as a device advertising identifier, IP address, and general (coarse) location — to serve and measure ads, in accordance with its own privacy policy. Where required by your platform, you can limit ad tracking or reset your advertising identifier in your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads).
How We Use Information
- Operate the global leaderboard and display scores with country flags.
- Show ads that keep the game free.
Data Retention & Deletion
Leaderboard entries are kept so the leaderboard works. If you want your player name, country, or scores removed, email [email protected] with the player name you used and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes will be noted in the game or on this website.
